Meet the Artist ~ Cole Stahl

It all started with a squirrel…. Some people are just born into what they love to do. When Cole was at the tender age of 12, a road killed squirrel found its way into the house, and soon found its way mounted on a branch, nut in mouth. This started it all and soon critters of all kinds started showing up on the walls and any flat surface that would afford them. Heralding from a house hold of hunters and anglers, Cole was rarely at a loss of what to mount next.

Being an passionate birder and an avid hunter helped his skills tremendously as he understood the wildlife and their nature. He loved to recreate scenes that would unfold naturally and his eye for detail knew no boundary. Years would pass as he quietly worked at his craft and developed the skills.

As time went on it became clear that this was more than a passing phase but a blossoming life long passion. Soon he was working for a taxidermy shop… then another… learning all the nuances of the art, as well as the science of Taxidermy. His skills with a knife have become legendary, and what takes most days often only takes him hours.

His quiet demeanor and approachability is a perfect fit for those needing advice or understanding the process of taxidermy. No question is too “simple” or complex. From scrapping hides to combing out eyelashes, sizing animals to adjusting feathers, he has done it all.

Drop us a line today and see the difference passion makes…
