BIRDS

Birds are our Specialty…

Being avid birders has allowed us to understand finer points of the mannerisms, habits and biology of birds. This gives us a definite edge when it comes to recreating the  birds and their respective habitats.

We are in the process of obtaining the required federal permits for migratory bird taxidermy. This means, that at the moment, we can not accept migratory game birds such as ducks and geese. These permits should all be in place by summer 2025 and we will be updating the website then. In the meanwhile we can accept all game birds that fall under provincial jurisdiction such as pheasant, grouse and turkeys.

The attention to detail is outstanding.

  • All of our birds are recreated with custom made molds per bird, we do not use pre fabricated molds. This allows great freedom when it comes to positions and ensures exact body sizes
  • We try to use the natural skull and feet/legs of the birds. These are then air brushed painted to replicate the original animal. Pre fabricated skulls and legs can be used upon request or requirements
  • Habitats and placards are created to most closely mimic the birds natural area and the wants of the customer. We preserve natural foliage and/or create habitats.
  • Often hunters think that they’ve shot up the bird badly and yes, sometimes this is the case. However many times we can still manage to save the carcass and preserve that special moment.
